I am SO glad that "In Praise of Pip" has a (somewhat) happy ending; we have grown to empathize with both Pip and his father so much that it would have wiped us out if Pip had died. It's striking that Rod Serling foresaw what a quagmire Vietnam was destined to become, as early as 1963; it's also grimly appropriate that, as a war veteran himself, he felt as he did.
